Program description
A Diploma of Branded Fashion Design is an introductory qualification that takes about a year of full-time study and lays the groundwork for understanding the business of what we wear and how it's made. It covers the creation of inspiring designs, as well as their development and production for market, with an emphasis on finding creative, strategic, long-term, and cost-effective solutions.
You'll investigate the theories behind design and marketing, evaluate communication and brand-fashion strategies, and examine past, present, and future fashion trends, all while being led by highly regarded industry professionals. This course is a comprehensive qualification that will take you on a journey to understand the fashion industry from a historical, social, and political standpoint, as well as the creative process of taking garments from design to market. You'll learn how to use form, shape, and colour, as well as how to choose materials, technical drawing, and matching ideas with purpose.
